DIY Bow: How to make a bow
LB x SabinNa Collaboration DIY BoW KIT
How to make your bow
Step 1:
Fold your fabric rectangle in half along the width, right sides together
Pin and stitch along the edge of the fabric, leaving a gap in the middle (shown on green lines on right hand image)
Step 2:
Pin the seam so that it is in the centre of the rectangle (see 1st left image) and stitch across the top and bottom of the fabric
Pull the fabric through the hole (which you left in step 1) so that the right side of the fabric is visible
Tuck the top and bottom edge of fabric to give the bow structure
Using a needle and thread, stitch up the hole at the back of the bow
Step 3:
Fold thinner piece of fabric in half with the right side of fabric together to create the tie
Pull the fabric through so that the right side of the fabric is showing and the raw seam is on the inside
Press flat with an iron with the seam at the CB of the tie
Fold in the raw ends of the tie and hand sew up
Pinch through the centre of the larger piece of fabric to rouch it up
Place this on top of the tie and secure the rouching by tying the tie around it
Step 4:
Place the clip on the back of the bow (the side where the knot of the tie is)
Using a needle and thread, stitch through the holes to secure it to the bow (this is a bit tricky - if you have a glue gun, you can glue the clip on)
You may need to go through some of the holes twice to ensure it is secure
And your bow hair clip is finished!
